Inspiration and the Plan.

Isn’t it funny, it originally started with a 13 day trip to Vietnam a couple years ago. A life changing experience that has defined the person that I am today.

Stephen Merchant once said that “Travel broadens the mind”, a statement that I strongly believe.

In my travels over the past couple of years I have met some the most amazing people and been to some of the most amazing places. This is something that I don’t want to stop doing.

So I have this amazing plan, For my 30th Birthday I will be leaving my job to travel the world full time. That gives me 3.5 Years or 42 months or 183 weeks to plan for this.

This is going to take some planing, and i’m excited by that, i’m excited to experience new cultures, and to see and do new things. And I keep thinking if 13 days a couple years ago changed who I am today, what will 1 or even 2 years do?

Time will Tell.

  1. I envy you, I mean what you are about to do is like the ultimate dream of every traveler. Not all of us can do it. I am still going to plan my own “escape” but I can’t do it right now. But goodluck to you and I hope you do get to many beautiful places and experience great adventures.

  2. This is something I should have done before being shackled by a 9-5 job which leaves me to travel in my spare time. Glad you are making the decision to break away. I am sure you shall be richer and wiser for that.

  3. What an exciting plan! You can do it!

  4. Wow, I hope that you succeed!
    I wish you good luck!

  5. Sounds like a great plan for your 30th birthday! and yes, it does take a bit of planning and a lot of saving especially for us who don’t have tons of money. It can be hard but it’s doable. And just think of the experiences you’ll get in return, priceless!

  6. I wish you the best of luck! 🙂 I’m curious about where you plan to go when you say travel the world and how long you’ll be on the road. I have plans for long vacations like a month in Europe but eventually I’d like to go back home and at work, since I do love my day job as well.

  7. Good on you for making the jump. We wish you all the best and we know you will have a blast. Don’t plan everything. If you are travelling Asia, just have an idea of where you are going. You can book at the last minute or if you love a place stay for longer. Europe is a little different we have discovered. If you have no plans and book at the last minute it can be more out of your wallet. Africa you need to be prepared. Travel definitely changes you. It makes you appreciate everything, even the littlest things. Travel teaches you so much about a country, people and a lot about yourself. We have been on the road for 8 years on and off and we are definitely not the people we were back then. To tell you the truth we are not the same people 2 years ago. Happy planning Morgan. Take care

  8. Amazing! Congratulations to you. It must already be so freeing to know there is an end to the 9-5 world.

  9. That is a superb plan. Keep walking, it may not be an easy path, but it will be more than worth it.
